rich sievewright - founder - head coach

Currently teaching RL Classic series in Pemberton 6am, 7.15am, 9.15am, 5.45pm, and Muay Thai.

A University graduate with a degree in Sports Development and Physical Education. Rich started his coaching career in the UK in 2012. After 4 years working at ‘Whistler Core’ as a trainer and forging a solid reputation it was time to move out alone and Richlife Whistler was formed in 2017.

He paid his dues to the fitness gods by wheeling thousand of lbs of equipment (daily) in and out of a van for 6 years in all weather conditions. He finally realised a dream in August 2023 by opening a permanent home for Richlife in Pemberton, where he resides with his family.

As well as a Fitness Coach he is a certified Power Yoga Instructor, Muay Thai Coach, Ironman, and alumni Lululemon Ambassador. He has a growing list of qualifications including Olympic lifting, Kettlebell Training, Functional Fitness, Circuit Training, Crossfit kids, etc. He is professional, fun and kind. He keeps it simple and keeps it hard. His love of electronic music creates a unique group class experience and his main goal is to uplift and bring togetherness in this growing community.

katie painchaud - manager - somatic therapy

Somatic Experience Practitioner and currently pulling the strings behind the scenes of Richlife.

Katie is in charge of Richlife registrations, facility bookings and client relations.

Mother of two, nature lover, spiritual and rave partner of the head coach. Quebecoise of origin that moved to Whistler in 2006. A certified Yoga Instructor that has left her Chartered Accountant routes behind in order to serve the emotional needs of her community.

It could be trauma, the trappings of the conditioned mind or old patterns that served you in the past but are no longer needed. Somatic Experience is a bodily approach that creates a safe place to explore parts of yourself. Reading the nervous system and guiding people through their own self discovery, she has tools to help heal wounds to access the higher self.

Alice mitchell - coach

Alice currently teaches the RL Classic (2 day) and RL TEEN series

After graduating with a degree in Biosciences Alice decided she’d rather become a gym rat than a lab rat. Originating from the UK she moved to Pemberton in 2023 to live near her sister

Having competed in powerlifting, dabbled in gymnastics training and as a British Olympic Weightlifting coach, she draws upon a variety of methods to keep training fun and exciting. Alice uses her experiences with mental health and an eating disorder to help others discover the power of training and achieving goals despite everyones unique challenges.

She is active in the online world of coaching where she offers nutritional guidance, and habit formation. In her spare time she explores nature, hiking, jumping out of planes and of course lifting weights.

 
 

britt janyk - coach - olympian

Britt is currently living in France and will be returning in the Spring

Mother of two girls and a long term Whistler local now living and coaching in Pemberton. Britt competed in alpine skiing for 14 years at the World Cup level. She competed for Canada in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, placing 6th in the Downhill. She ventured into personal training when pregnant with her second daughter in 2013. Fitness coaching supports her ski coaching and the healthy lifestyle she embodies for her family.

Richlife has re-ignited her passion for fitness after pro athlete burnout and competitive retirement. Moving into her third year as a Richlifer, she truly crushes in the 9.15am class and inspires everyone around her. Over the course of her professional career she achieved two podium finishes, a handful of top five finishes and an overall third place in the Downhill event.

Magalie currently treats massage clients in her new space upstairs in the gym

Magalie has been a massage therapist since 2016. Growing up practicing multiple sports, massage therapy peaked her curiosity. She started her journey after graduating from Vancouver School of Bodywork & Massage. A few years in the practice, she went back to school and obtained a second diploma through MH Vicars School of Massage therapy. She worked in the spa industry & in clinic setting providing a variety of massage therapy. In addition to working with all types of people, she also have experience with professional athletes. She is newly based in Pemberton, but works with client in Whistler & Pemberton.

She is passionate for the human body. She loves helping others manage and overcome their pain, to prevent & recover from injury, to decrease stress associated with lifestyle, and collaborate with them to set and achieve their goals.

Being active & competitively racing dirtbike, and being a Richlifer herself she understand the importance to have a pain free & healthy lifestyle. She enjoys a therapeutic approach using slow & steady techniques to treat the superficial & deep layer of the musculoskeletal system. We can say, she is driven about everything related to sports & active lifestyle!
